Christian Tien is a 3rd year PhD student in Economics at the University of Cambridge. His research interests include causal inference, machine learning and financial econometrics. He likes to come up with creative approaches to interesting economic identification problems.
At the University of Cambridge, Christian is a member of the Econometric Research Group at the Faculty of Economics and often joins the Causal Inference Reading Group of the Statistical Laboratory.
Besides his research, Christian enjoys to play football as a goalkeeper, to learn languages, and to admire marine life while scuba diving.
